As part of Vietnam ADR Week – VAW 2026, the Seminar on “Commercial Mediation: Perspectives from International and Vietnamese Mediation Experts” is convened as a specialized forum to share practical experience, exchange professional perspectives, and discuss the future development of commercial mediation in Vietnam. Through presentations and discussions among Vietnamese and international experts, the programme seeks to highlight the distinctive value of commercial mediation, identify practical barriers to its wider use, and suggest ways to enhance its effectiveness, credibility, and practical application within the business community and among legal practitioners.

The Investment Forum themed on “Vietnam’s Investment Landscape: Legal Certainty, Risk Management and Dispute Resolution” is jointly organized by the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association (VLA), aiming to create a multi-dimensional dialogue platform among regulators, the business community, and experts in the field. The event focuses on analyzing the current investment environment, while discussing solutions to enhance legal certainty, improving the predictability of the legal system, and sharing practical experiences in risk management and dispute resolution in investment and business activities. Thus, the forum is expected to help reinforce investor confidence and promote a more transparent, stable, and sustainable investment environment.

Within the framework of the Vietnam ADR Week – VAW 2026, the “International Arbitration Institutions Roundtable: Institutional Developments and Practical Experiences in International Arbitration” is convened as an open forum for dialogue among arbitral institutions in the region. This roundtable aims to highlight key emerging trends and share practical experiences in recent years. It will further explore Asia’s growing prominence as a new centre of gravity in international arbitration, the expanding role of regional arbitral institutions, and the institutional, competitive, and professional standards required to sustain this momentum.

Within the framework of Vietnam ADR Week – VAW 2026, the Seminar on “International Dispute Resolution In Times of Turbulence: Global Trends and Vietnam’s Emerging Roles” is conceived as a specialized forum to identify key trends in international commercial arbitration, assess the current practice of arbitration and ADR in Vietnam, and examine the country’s role and prospects within the global dispute resolution landscape. Through keynote remarks and multi-perspective panel discussions, the program aims to clarify Vietnam’s current standing in the regional arbitration landscape, highlight areas requiring further development to enhance credibility and competitiveness, and identify possible directions to strengthen business confidence, increase Vietnam’s attractiveness as a venue for international commercial dispute resolution, and reinforce the role of VIAC in this ongoing process.
