VIAC joins the MAXWELL CONNECTher Initiative to spotlight Women Arbitrators in the Asia Pacific region

Mar 25, 2025

In March 2025, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) has supported the MAXWELL CONNECTher Initiative, launched by MAXWELL Chambers from 2024. MAXWELL CONNECTher is a dedicated initiative that acknowledges and honors female arbitrators residing in the Asia-Pacific region who are members of the region’s esteemed arbitration institutions.

MAXWELL CONNECTher has curated a list of women arbitrators residing in the Asia-Pacific region who are affiliated with one of Maxwell Chambers’ partner arbitral institutions in the region. This initiative aims to collectively showcase female arbitrators in a region experiencing rapid economic growth. This list will continue to expand as more Asian arbitral institutions are engaged to include additional women arbitrators from across the continent.

With Asia’s economic trajectory set to rise steadily over the next few decades, the Asian Century is already underway. MAXWELL CONNECTher stands as a testament to the commitment to advancing gender diversity initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region while fostering a more inclusive and representative future for the international arbitration community.

VIAC takes pride in its distinguished female arbitrators, who have made significant contributions to the development of commercial arbitration in Vietnam and the broader region. Through MAXWELL CONNECTher, VIAC aims not only to elevate the status of Vietnamese female arbitrators but also to contribute to building a more professional, fair, and diverse commercial arbitration environment in Asia-Pacific. By supporting this initiative, VIAC reaffirms its commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women in the field of arbitration.
