On April 15, 2026, Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) held a working session with University of Economics – University of Da Nang to discuss potential areas of cooperation and opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions.
Attending the meeting on behalf of VIAC were Prof. Dr. Le Hong Hanh - President of VIAC; Ms. Tran Bao Ngoc -Director of the Promotion and Development Department; and other members of VIAC. Representing the University of Economics – The University of Da Nang were Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh - Vice Rector and Chairwoman of the University's Trade Union, together with leaders, faculty members, and lecturers from the Faculty of Law.
In her remarks at the meeting, Dr. Huynh Thi Hong Hanh extended a warm welcome to VIAC delegation and expressed her appreciation. She also provided an overview of the University's education and research activities. She noted that the University has been progressively expanding its academic programs in business law and interdisciplinary fields, aligning them with the evolving demands of today's business environment.

Representing VIAC, Prof. Dr. Le Hong Hanh shared an overview of the Centre's key activities, emphasizing its role not only in dispute resolution but also in fostering cooperation, facilitating professional exchanges, and strengthening connections between theory and practice to enhance awareness among the business community, legal practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders. Through these efforts, VIAC continues to contribute to the development of arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms in Viet Nam while enhancing its standing in the international arena.

At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to further strengthen their cooperation in training, research, academic exchanges, and practical engagement in the fields of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). They also reached a consensus to sign a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future to formalize and advance substantive collaboration between the two institutions.
Held in an open and constructive atmosphere, the meeting marked the beginning of a strong and enduring partnership between the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) and the University of Economics – The University of Danang, laying a solid foundation for future collaborative initiatives.
