
With the aim of further enhancing professional standards and promoting the sustainable development of arbitration, mediation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) activities, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) has officially established the VIAC Advisory Board, with the honored participation of 10 highly esteemed domestic and international experts. This establishment marks a new milestone in VIAC's development process, enhancing its operational quality, expanding its network of leading experts, and progressively aligning with international best practices in the field of arbitration and ADR.
The VIAC Advisory Board comprises:
VIAC Advisory Board members are all distinguished experts with extensive practical experience and profound expertise in the fields of international commercial arbitration, mediation and ADR. According to Regulations on the Organization and Operation of VIAC Advisory Board, the Advisory Board shall perform an advisory function to VIAC on professional matters and development strategies at the request of the Chairman, the Secretary General or the Arbitration Secretariat. The scope of consultation includes providing opinions on major issues arising during arbitral proceedings; contributing to the review and refinement of VIAC's rules, regulations and professional guidelines; and advising on developments trends in arbitration and ADR, VIAC's strategic direction, as well as solutions to enhance the operational quality and expand the Centre’s services.
The establishment of the Advisory Board reflects VIAC's long-term development orientation towards building a professional consultative mechanism aligned with best international practices, harnessing the collective wisdom and experience of leading domestic and international experts in support of the Centre's growth. With the accompany of the Advisory Board, VIAC expects to continuously enhance its operational quality, strengthen its institutional expertise, expand international cooperation and consolidate its position as the leading arbitral institution in Vietnam, while step-by-step increasing its presence and prestige in the regional and global arbitration and ADR community.
