Following the success of the Vietnam Moot Court Competition (VMCC) 2025, the Vietnam International Moot Court Competition (VIMCC) 2026 officially returns with an expanded scope and a stronger international orientation, further promoting academic excellence among law students.
VMCC was first launched in 2025 through the collaboration of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hanoi Law University, the Moot Club of Hanoi Law University, and the Vietnam Chapter of the Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA Vietnam). During its inaugural edition, the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) participated as the Professional Sponsor, contributing to the development of the competition's academic content and facilitating connections with legal practitioners and experts.
Building on this foundation, VIMCC 2026 aspires to become a prestigious academic competition for domestic and international law students interested in advocacy and dispute resolution. The competition is designed to provide participants with opportunities to deepen their understanding of international commercial and investment law, strengthen their legal research and analytical skills, develop persuasive legal arguments, enhance English-language advocacy skills, and gain practical exposure to arbitration as a dispute resolution mechanism.
Through simulated dispute resolution proceedings, participants will apply knowledge from various areas of law while refining their presentation, advocacy, and problem-solving abilities in a highly practical academic environment. The competition also serves as a platform for law students from different institutions to exchange ideas, share experiences, and engage with diverse legal perspectives in an increasingly interconnected global landscape.
With the participation of experienced lawyers, arbitrators, academics, and legal experts as advisors and adjudicators, VIMCC 2026 is expected to continue delivering a high-quality academic experience and contribute to the development of a new generation of legal professionals equipped to thrive in the global legal environment.
